We are back, fired up and ready to go!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Independence Day to those of you here in the United States! To our Canadian friends - Happy Belated Canada Day!

And, to my middle brother - Happy 30th BIRTHDAY with lots of LOVE! I always chuckle when of think of how long my brother thought all of the 4th of July fireworks were just for him! I want you to know, dear brother, the fireworks are for our country and YOU too! ☺

You have probably noticed that we have taken a two month blogging sabbatical. Well .. we spent the months of May and June analyzing our businesses and have refocused our services, products and resources to provide more value for you!

As a result of our hard work, we are moving into the second half of the year in full force and with lots of really powerful changes, starting with the name and focus for this blog! This blog has evolved into “Inspire by Action: A Blog for Finance Professionals.”

What exactly does this mean? - you may be asking yourself. ☺ Well, it simply means that much of the new information to be premiered here will be highly relevant for entrepreneurial finance professionals.

If you are a financial planner, insurance agent or investment advisor - this blog is being written with you in mind!

You may now be asking, “Why the change?” At UpwardAction, we’re calling it an evolution! Here’s the answer! When we took a look at our client list and blog readers, we realized that the mass majority of clients and web visitors are independent agents in the finance and insurance industry, lawyers or lawyer-turned-entrepreneurs. Therefore, we want to repay you for your active interest in our businesses by making sure we have a resource where we can provide lots of high quality FREE information for you.

This blog will become our FREE resource for the finance industry!

Wednesday Inspiration #5

Here’s hoping that yesterday was a most blessed Christmas Day for you and your loved ones!

Today’s title is a bit of a cliche, I know … however, it is designed to help you think deeper about the make-up of your business and life teams.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Successful teams have multiple players who are responsible for different positions. Each player brings an important and unique skill to the game.

Today’s Coaching Exercise

Spend 10 or so minutes thinking about the members of your business (or life) team. Is each person bringing a needed skill to your team? Is there enough diversity in the skills and contributions of your team’s players? Where is your team lacking in experience or expertise?

Draft new team players if necessary to strengthen your business and/or personal weaknesses.

Reassign and/or politely retire team members as necessary to build up your powerful, successful team. Remember, diversity of strengths is key. And, no successful team is comprised of only players with the same skills … .
