Wednesday Inspiration #5
Here’s hoping that yesterday was a most blessed Christmas Day for you and your loved ones!
Today’s title is a bit of a cliche, I know … however, it is designed to help you think deeper about the make-up of your business and life teams.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Successful teams have multiple players who are responsible for different positions. Each player brings an important and unique skill to the game.
Today’s Coaching Exercise
Spend 10 or so minutes thinking about the members of your business (or life) team. Is each person bringing a needed skill to your team? Is there enough diversity in the skills and contributions of your team’s players? Where is your team lacking in experience or expertise?
Draft new team players if necessary to strengthen your business and/or personal weaknesses.
Reassign and/or politely retire team members as necessary to build up your powerful, successful team. Remember, diversity of strengths is key. And, no successful team is comprised of only players with the same skills … .
Until next time … Take GREAT Care!

Wednesday Inspiration #4: Today’s inspiration is all about helping you showcase (or develop) an expertise.
Showcase (or Develop) Your Expertise by Writing Articles:
Writing (and being published) makes most people think you are an expert & a thought leader!

A Coaching Exercise
Identify 3 topics you know a lot about that are related to your target market/industry and record them in your journal.
Spend 30 or so minutes identifying 3 to 5 places where you can submit your article for publication. Consider trade magazines, industry blogs, relevant newsletters and online article directories like Ezine Articles or Associated Content.
Review the article submission guidelines for the places you have identified above. For places like Ezine Articles and Associated Content your articles can be as short as 400 - 500 words. Remember, in most cases, the impact of the information contained in your article is much more significant than the length of the article.
Commit to (1) writing a short article on 1 of the topics you identified above and (2)submitting it to your choice publication this week.
Now … consider the impact that building time into your schedule to publish an article (which can be as short as 250 - 500 words) no less than once a quarter will have on your business and professional reputation. Powerful stuff …. Take time to build this into your schedule today.
Until next time … Take GREAT Care!

Wednesday Inspiration #3
Today’s inspiration is designed to help you think more deeply about the obstacles you face in business (and life)! Today’s headline is inspired by Brian Clarke’s The Cosmo Headline Challenge over at Copyblogger.com. Thanks, Brian!
Overcoming Obstacles: Obstacles are most prevalent and disruptive when you are distracted from your focus and commitment to accomplishing your goals. The secret to overcoming your obstacles is found in your focus and commitment to success.

A Coaching Exercise
Identify the 3 biggest obstacles preventing you from achieving one of your most important goals.
Spend 10 or so minutes envisioning what the accomplishment of this particular goal will feel like and how it will impact your life. Now, envision how you will feel and how your life will be impacted if you do not achieve your goal.
Will you feel a great pain or void if the goal is not accomplished? If you will not feel a great pain or void, consider getting rid of the goal in its current form and re-framing it so the accomplishment of your goal will really have a big impact on your life.
If you will feel a great pain from not accomplishing your goal, spend no less than 10 minutes focusing on what it will take to make the goal a reality … and prepare to be amazed at how the obstacles will fall away.
If you need help, just let us know! We would love to help you design S.M.A.R.T. Goals that are powerful enough to overcome your obstacles.
Until next time …. Take GREAT Care!
