People buy from PEOPLE they know, like and trust. Online video is an amazing tool for helping prospective clients get to know, like and trust you … at an accelerated rate. Let’s discuss five ways to use this powerful tool to systematically dig for deeper connections with your ideal clients and target market.
- Record a “Thanks for your purchase” video. Send this video to everyone who invests in any of your programs, products or services. This creates a “personal connection” that can be delivered in mass.
- Record a “Welome to our program” video. Send this video to everyone who signs up for a coaching program or service. This facilitates developing a “personal connection” with your target market in mass.
- Record a “Happy Birthday” greeting. Send this video to the inbox of everyone in your database on their special day.
- Record answers to frequently asked questions. Whenever someone sends a question by email or via your website, record the answer by video and have it delivered to his or her inbox. Talk about making a big impression!
- Record a “welcome to the company” video. Send this video to everyone who signs up for your electronic newsletter or eCourse a few days after the subscription begins. This is a great way to build deeper connections, while building a “wow” experience for your target market.

I liked your emphasis on “following up” with social media. Using video to make customers take notice of you is the way of things now, but it sweetens the deal to have those video “thank you” closers.

(I know this comment probably won’t be posted, but the number of identical copies of your face on this page was a little creepy. They’re all the exact same photo staring out at me, and I felt a little like I was being watched. Yeah, there are five copies on the current page and they’re all the same.)
Thanks for your comments, Adam. LOL regarding the second one. You are right - there are FIVE images of me … Wow … that’s a lot! We’ll have to do something about it.
Take good care!

Great post and I agree that video online will be a more common form of marketing as we go on. I particularly like your suggestion of a thank you video. Quite difficult to do if you make a lot of sales but certainly a memorable thing for customers if it is viable for your business.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your comment. It’s actually not so difficult if you use a shopping cart that has an auto-responder. Simply record a “thank you” video for each product and then insert the video into an auto-responder that is automatically sent when a customer purchases the product. If recording a separate video for each product is overwhelming to start, create a video that thanks the customer for making a purchase from your store. Either option make for a memorable experience - which helps you build a “magnetic brand.”
Take good care!

I think the most important benefit of video marketing is that it lets potential customers see faces behind the internet side of a business. Great blog post.
Jimmy, I totally agree. Video is a great way to build connection.
