There is a huge difference between responding and reacting. Leaders who inspire and motivate others understand the distinction between these actions and are able to respond as opposed to react to difficult or unpleasant situations. Let’s explore this distinction.
To respond involves acting in a measured and thoughtful manner. Leaders who take time to think though situations before acting are able to respond in a reasonable and appropriate manner. This allows for fewer regrets.
To react involves letting your emotions drive your actions. Leaders who do not take time to think before acting often behave in ways that are inappropriate for the situation at hand. Reacting often leads to regrets and apologizes.
Today’s Tip for Upward Action: When faced with a difficult situation, take a few minutes to think about your most appropriate action so that you are able to respond in a reasonable manner that is fair and balanced. A thoughtful response will ultimately help build your creditability as a powerful leader who inspires and motivates others.
Until next time … Take Great Care!

These days, Inspiration and motivation alone is distracted by so much input and the speed on information. A leader must cultivate a work environment that inspires a greater purpose for the selfish needs of the people in that environment
Right! Very well said. And being a leader, we could think that there are eyes that are always watching for the action every action they do and did. People can always recognize if their leader is doing their work good or not. So leaders must always be responsible for the authority that was given to them, be fair, and not over power it.
