A Trailblazer in the Private Equity Industry

As co-founder and managing director of Fairview Capital, JoAnn Price is helping raise billions of dollars for businesses, including those owned by women and minorities. She serves on several advisory boards and has been inducted into the National Association of Investment Companies Hall of Fame, where she has served as president. For more than 30 years, Ms. Price has been at the forefront of helping minority-owned businesses get funded.

Building a Legacy

A graduate of Howard University, Ms. Price co-founded Fairview Capital Partner Inc. in 1994, where she still serves as a member of the firm's investment committee and a manager of all Fairview-sponsored funds.

Since its founding, Fairview has grown to now manage a portfolio of $3.4 billion making it the largest private equity firm in the United States.

It's quite fitting the Black Enterprise has named her The Black Business Financier.
