Tasha “TC” Cooper is an attorney, Amazon best-selling author, founder of the #FaithFocusFlow Christian business training portal and President of UpwardAction® – a digital publishing and online training company she launched to pursue her passion for social media advocacy as a business.
TC has been recognized as a leader in social media marketing, self-publishing and building influential brands online. She developed for UpwardAction® Media clients the CooperZone™ Academies, which includes on-demand training programs for Twitter, LinkedIn, Live Streaming and Online Marketing Basics. Her social media communities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Periscope, and LinkedIn exceeds 60,000 people who tune in for her expert, actionable advice.
A teacher at heart, TC has used UpwardAction® to teach thousands of lawyers, business owners, ministry leaders and managers how to leverage the power of social media to increase impact, expand influence and diversify income.
She has been engaged to provide social media and digital brand building training for entities that include: White House Fellows Program, Council on Foreign Relations, Aspen Institute, DC Bar Association, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Wall Street Project Economic Summit, Hampton University, Rutgers University, Rutgers University Business School, Levin Institute for Entrepreneurship, Maryland Bar Association, New Jersey Small Business Development Centers – as well as numerous individual attorneys, consultants, and small firms.
In addition to her best selling books, TC has contributed to numerous publications that include Black Enterprise Magazine, Speaker Magazine, California Bar Journal, Washington Lawyer Magazine and appeared on the cover of New Jersey’s InBiz Magazine. Her bible-based business books and resources have been used in bible study groups for entrepreneurs around the country. TC's SMART Goal Planning System and planners have been used to support aspiring business owners, experienced business owners as well as entrepreneurial students who are in apprenticeship and job skills programs.
TC began her professional life as a private equity attorney in an international law firm, following which she served as associate general counsel for a luxury watch company, and following as associate general counsel in a department of the government. She is an member of the DC Bar Association where she has taught various social media and online marketing classes for lawyers for several years. She has been a featured lecturer at Practice 360 – the DC Bar’s highly popular one day conference for lawyers – since its inception.
TC is a member of Alfred Street Baptist Church, in Alexandria VA – where she serves as an active member in the Legal Resources, AGAPE and Entrepreneurship ministries. She is also a member of the invitation-only Forbes Coaches Council.
TC is a graduate of Columbia Law School and Hampton University. She lives by her personal mantra – Nothing is impossible when you consistently exercise your faith, focus and flow.
